The Fountain of Peace on YouTube Canadian School Visits




School Participation Requirements
 
 

 

  • Each school will commit one day to the Fountain’s visit.
  • The School agrees to hold an assembly.
  • The School will provide a sound system for the assembly with microphones and computer hook up
  • The School agrees to contact local media prior to the Fountain’s visit. A news release will be provided by the project.
  • Teachers will be expected to teach the children the song “The Kind of World That We Want” so they can participate in the finale of the Peace Project presentation.
  • The teachers and students will agree to be photographed and give permission for the Fountain of Peace Project to place their images on the official website page specifically created for the visit.
  • The school will create messages of peace to be gifted to a school in another school division and one within their division.
  • Each class will designate students to help build the fountain of peace with stones from all over the world.
  • the school will find a stone from the school yard or their area and pass it around the school so students can place a wish for peace in it.  This stone will then be donated to the fountain.  
We invite schools to use this project as a social and educational opportunity in anyway they see fit. If you have ideas or suggestions, please contact us.
